Building designs to be unveiled this year in Chicago architecture competition
Design competition winners will receive the opportunity to present their work at the 2019 Architectural Design Phase.
The contest is open to architects and landscape architects, and is expected to attract more than 200 entries, according to the Chicago Architecture Foundation.
The winning architecture designs will be selected for a design review, which will be conducted by a panel of judges, including architecture and landscape experts, and selected architecture professors and designers.
The judges will select three finalists.
The winners will be announced in the fall.
The Chicago Architecture Project and Chicago Public Schools announced plans in April to expand the 2018 Architectural Review Program.
The new program will focus on the design of public buildings, parks, public spaces, and other projects for use by the public.
