Why the Falcons should go to Georgia Tech
Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is in Atlanta, and he has no plans to take the Georgia Tech-Georgia Dome home.
Ryan said he has had a great time with the Georgia Bulldogs, who have made the semifinals of the Southland Conference and advanced to the National Championship Game.
He will play at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday night.
Ryan will start against Georgia Tech, a school that has made a run for the ACC title this season.
Ryan, who was named MVP of the national championship game last year, completed 20-of-32 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns against Georgia State.
He also rushed for three touchdowns and ran for three more.
The Bulldogs will host Georgia Tech in a nationally televised matchup that will be televised on ABC, ESPN and CBS.
The ACC will also televise the game.
The ACC is the first conference to televise its championship game.
Ryan’s arrival could put the Falcons in a position to make the playoff for the first time since the 2011 season.
The Falcons, who finished 12-4, went 10-6 the last two seasons and had their best record in program history last season with a 5-2 record.
